Venus Beach is also known as Playa del El Fuerte, it is half a kilometer long and 50 meters wide. Venus Beach is located next to the Marina and is Marbella's most central beach, directly down from the old town.
During the 80s, Venus Beach was enlarged to its present size, with grey sand that was dredged from offshore.
Its a safe beach as life guards watch swimmers from the lookout tower during the summer season, although the water does get deep only a few meters from the sea shore.
Venus Beach is a very popular beach with tons of room and lots of sunbeds. There are restaurants in the marina building and many others on the beach's Paseo Main Ave, Ave Duque de Ahumada.
An activity area for children is located at the top of of the beach, near the sand sculptures, and a long line of interesting market stalls and things to do nearby.
Near the top of each marbella beach are small oasis, with a life size elephant shower.
The Marbella train, El Trenecito, can be caught every hour by Marbella's lighthouse. It travels along the main roads of Marbella and is a great way to see the town.
Venus beach is also where the people of Marbella celebrate the beginning of The Marbella Feria, with an amazing display of fireworks.
