Skol Beach is also known as La Fontanilla Beach, it is 800 meters long and 30 meters wide. The Skol Hotel is situated at this end of the beach, hense the beach's name, it's the tall building at the end of the walkway breakwater. This breakwater is a popular way to see Marbella from the sea. You can walk over the breakwater boulders, past people fishing, out to the end where almost the whole of Marbella can be seen, with Mount Concha in the background. Along the top of Skol Beach, under the Paseo Maritimo promenade, are many restaurants which serve excellent spanish cuisine for lunch and early dinner. This is the best place to try Sardinas, a typical fish dish cooked on beaches all around Spain. The sardines are propped up on sticks and slowly cook next to an open fire, simply delicious! Near the top of each beach in Marbella are small oasis of trees with a life size elephant shower in the shade.
