Plaza Victoria is situated 50 meters west of the Orange Square and is surrounded by restaurants, cafeterias and shops. Plaza Victoria is a really nice place to sit and catch your breath while shopping in the old town.
At the centre of the plaza is a bust of Don Jaime de Mora y Aragon who was was renowned in the 60s and 70s as the heart and soul of Marbella society. Don Jaime was the brother of the Belgian queen Fabiola and brother-in-law of king Baudouin. A life sized bronze statue of Don Jaime is located at the west end of Marbella, at the bottom of the avenue that was named in his honour.
