Hotel Rio Real is a five start hotel that is located three kilometers east of Marbella. Opened in 2001, it is a small and intimate hotel, with wonderful panoramic views of the mountains and the sea, it also looks over the Rio Real Golf course. Rio Real Hotel has 30 rooms that are beautifully decorated and furnished in luxury. Spread over two floors, each of the rooms has a large terrace with magnificent views. All are equipped with an oversized luxurious bathroom, special beds, satellite TV, ipod music station, safe, three telephones, fax connection, internet, minibar, air conditioning and central heating. The elegant design of the hotel is also reflected in the restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner. Clients can choose from the finest Mediterranean cuisine while enjoying the sights and the excellent service of the hotel. Besides the restaurant, there is also the Club House bar and a pool bar which serves drinks and cocktails throughout the day. The Rio Real roof-top swimming pool is surrounded by small lemon trees and lounge beds, and the solarium deck area with chaise lounges. The hotel especialy caters to golfers. The Rio Real Golf course was inaugurated in 1965 and designed by Javier Arana. It is a magnificent 18-hole, par 72, with challenging greens set in a beautiful sloping valley. The hotel provides mini-classes and offers group rates, changing rooms, professional shop, rental service and golf storage.
