The Gran Melia Don Pepe Hotel is a five star hotel situated at the west end of Marbella's paseo maritimo promenade which looks over the beach and Mediterranean Sea. It is one of Marbella's most famous hotels and has been recently been renovated.
The hotel Gran Meliá Don Pepe has 201 well equipped rooms, 12 tastefully decorated junior suites, 2 spacious and elegant suites and 3 luxurious penthouses. Most of the rooms have private balcony and panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. All have air conditioning, heating, plasma TV with satellite, telephone, safe, wireless internet access. Bathrooms are en suite and tiled in marble with hairdryer and hydro-massage shower.
The dining options at the Don Pepe hotel are very good, each restaurant is unique and are elegant in decor. Buffet breakfast is served at the restaurant Dama de Noche, and for the rest of the day, guests can choose from several styles of buffet and à la carte from La Farola grill, La Palapa near the pool, El Calima which serves Andalusian and Mediterranean cuisine, home-made cakes and pastries, and a very good selection of wines. El Almirante Piano bar, and a cafeteria.
Facilities at the Don Pepe include an indoor pool and two outdoor swimming pools, one is rectangular and the other a large fractal shape surrounded by lounge pagodas and sunbeds. There is also a children's pool, and a pool bar El Copo. Two tennis courts, a gymnasium, A beauty salon and a health club with 2 whirlpools, Finnish sauna, Turkish sauna, and various showers, massages are available. There are also 13 meeting rooms, one for up to 320 people in a theatre set-up.
The Don Pepe offers special discounts on green fees for the majority of golf courses in the area, and free entrance to the Casino de Marbella.
