On the east side of Puerto Banus is a giant statue that overlooks Playa Levante, Levante Beach. Visit the Puerto Banus photo gallery for more images of the statue. The statue is known as La Victoria or Victory (also Levante Statue), it is 25 meters high and made of bronze and copper on a granite column. Designed by the famous Georgian sculptor Zurab Tsereteli of Tbilisi, La Victoria was inaugurated in 1996, a gift from the mayor of Moscow. One of Georgia's / Russia's most prolific artists, Zurab Tsereteli has designed a tremendous amount of art for many countries.
